    First Southern Bank helped us move into the Southern Illinois area and gave us first-hand personal attention for all of our banking needs. They helped us with our home mortgage, a home improvement loan, set us up with a no-cost checking account and really went the extra mile to make sure we had what we needed. Now I can say that we really love First Southern Bank and feel confident that any of our banking needs will be met. We truly had a great experience in every way with First Southern Bank and can honestly say that we wouldn't be here without them.

    Always have great experiences at this branch. All tellers make an effort to know me on a first name basis, and go the extra mile for customer service. Prefer this branch over others in Carbondale. Flexible hours are great too but I think Evening hours have been changed to 6 pm.

    Opposite what other reviewers have commented, I greatly enjoyed living with G&R for 2 years during my undergraduate education. The employees were kind and although seemingly annoyed at times, can you blame them? Running an apartment complex in a college town is sure to be a headache'! The prices were fair, and the apartments are just gorgeous. Quiet, clean, new - much much nicer than the place I lived at during graduate school afterwards. Would recommend as a first choice for housing in Carbondale! Thanks G&R for a great first living experience!
